SWAC and Dual Credit

All School Within A College SWAC Dual Credit programs offered through the Grand River SCWI are delivered as College Taught congregated classes on college campuses. Students will earn up to four dual credits in the program of their choosing.

This year’s Post Secondary partners include Conestoga College, Brantford Campus; Fanshawe College, Simcoe Campus; and Mohawk College, Ohsweken Campus.

Please see below for a brief description of the program offerings and the dual credit courses available:

Conestoga College:

  • Fit and Wellness – Courses include Get Fit and Wellness: The Better You, in addition to teacher taught credit and teacher supported credit recovery or modified independent learning courses.
  • Media – Courses include Digital Imaging and Introduction to Audio, in addition to teacher taught credit and teacher supported credit recovery or modified independent learning courses.

Fanshawe College:

  • Human Services – Courses include Personal Success, Student Orientation Skills, Dealing with Difficult People, in addition to teacher taught credit and teacher supported credit recovery or modified independent learning courses.
  • Introduction to Trades and Technology – Courses include Introduction to AutoCad, Introduction to Welding, Workshop Practice Millwright, in addition to teacher taught credit and teacher supported credit recovery or modified independent learning courses.

Mohawk College:

  • Introduction to Trades and  Technology – Courses include Introduction to Construction, Introduction to Welding, Automotive, in addition to teacher taught credit and teacher supported credit recovery or modified independent learning courses.
